What are cell groups?

The weekly open cell groups are the core activity of The Student Church. They are a kind of bible study groups for Christians and non-Christians. Everybody is welcome. You can decide any week to come and join a cell group.

For whom?

It’s for Christians and non-Christians. The idea is that good dialogues will start up this way and that you will start thinking about God yourself. The conversation may be about the short bible study of that evening or other topics that interest you. It’s also possible to dig into it deeper after the official end.

When and where?

There are cell groups on wednesday evenings. There are Dutch-speaking and English-speaking cell groups. They are held at participants’ homes, in different places in Utrecht.

How long does it last?

They don’t take very long, so you don’t lose your whole evening. They usually start with a shared meal (that saves you cooking time) and last for about one and a half hours after that. That means you still have time to study or do something (else) fun afterwards. :)

Topics

Many different topics are dealt with, often corresponding to the Sunday sermons. There is also room for discussion and you can ask all your questions about faith. There is also room for prayer for each other. You can also just give prayer requests if you don’t want to pray yourself or you’re not a Christian. It’s mostly a lot of fun.

Everybody is welcome!
