The School for leaders is a weekly training for Christians who want to learn more, particularly to lead their own open cell group. It’s about various interesting topics concerning Christian faith.

 

 

In principle, it is meant for all Christians who are part of a cell group and others who are actively involved in the student church (like alpha team members or alpha participants). Does that mean you have to start your own cell group right away? No, you don’t have to start your own cell group right away. Can you also join even if you don’t see yourself leading your own cell group in the near future? YES; school for leaders is especially meant for those people, because it is particularly meant to help you to lead your own cell group in the future. If you start now, you will be equipped and probably ready to start your own cell group by the end of the course or even sooner. In any case you will at least have followed the school for leaders. You can’t start half-way through. So it’s either start now, or wait a whole year!

 

When the next school for leaders will start is now yet known. It will probably be from the first or second Monday of October. Because it really builds up your own faith and you will be helped with knowledge about testifying, praying effectively etcetera. See topics below. The School for leaders of the Student Church will start in October and will last for 30 Mondays of 2 hours each after the introduction evening. That means it lasts almost until the end of the college season. It starts at 18.45 and lasts until approximately 21.00, including a break. After that there will be time to talk further and/ or ask questions. But officially it is over at 21.00. This means you will still have half of you Monday evening left to study or to do other things!

If this time poses a problem for you, let me know as soon as possible and maybe we can move it a bit. Usually there will be dinner at 18.00 if you want.

Costs: the school for leaders is offered for free. The study material will be printed and only printing costs will be asked. Every once in a while a collection will be made for compensation for the speakers.

 

The topics start with the basics of the Christian faith (alpha course type topics) to how to become a good cell group leader and more. A selection from 60 hours of teachings has been made below using keywords: most topics take one hour, unless stated otherwise.

 

Redemption, old man/ new man, conversion, bible, prayer, baptism, faith, the Holy Spirit, laying on hands, being victorious.

Sexuality; healthy man-woman relationships; marriage and family (several evenings).

Effective prayer (4 times an hour); being a witness (4 times); subservience (2 times); cells for growth; the vision; preparation on cell group leading; cell structure; methodology of the cell; motivation for growth; how do you solve problems in the cell?; what does it mean to be a good leader?; calling; personality of the leader; the price of leadership; excellence in leadership; dangers of leadership; types of leadership; practical tips for preaching/ giving teachings; strengthening (2 times); the Holy Spirit (3 times); counseling (5 times);

finances; God’s plan with Israel in the end of times.

 

The evenings will be held at Hyacintstraat 34 in Utrecht.
