The Student Church Utrecht is a present-day church that mainly focuses on students, graduates and young people without a Christian background. So graduates and non-students are also welcome! We strive to be a church where everyone feels at home, especially non-Christians too!

We have many possibilities and activities where you can check out the Christian faith without further engagement, in a way that speaks to students, graduates and youth. We want to be a church where especially those without a Christian background feel at home, because most students and young people don’t have a Christian background.

 

The basis of The Student Church is the weekly open cell groups . These are bible study groups about interesting topics for Christians and non-Christians alike. You can decide any week to join or just come and check out the fun we have.

 

Besides all of the above, we have many fun and challenging things for Christians too: you could for example help out as a team member during the alpha course, you could lead a cell group, and we have a weekly School for Leaders . This is for anyone who is a Christian and deals with interesting topics, starting in the beginning of September. You don’t have to lead a group yet in order to take this course. The course is intended to help you lead a group.

 

We don’t fit in a neatly defined (traditional Christian) box. We believe in the reliability of the Bible and pay much attention to bible study. At the same time we believe that God still works miracles today and heals people, with which we have many experiences.

 

We are faithful to the Bible and therefore we find it important to seek God’s love always and actively strive for the gifts (presents) of the Holy Spirit. (This is an instruction God gives in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 14 verse 1.) Examples of these gifts are prayer healing, prophecy, teaching and helping.

 

You will be stimulated to think about God yourself.
